Israeli security forces thwarted a rock-throwing attack on Monday evening targeting vehicles traveling on a main road near the village of Sinjil in Samaria. Snipers from Unit 636, who were operating in the area during an ongoing mission, identified three assailants throwing rocks at passing cars and opened precise fire to stop the threat. Two of the attackers were killed at the scene, while forces launched a pursuit after the third suspect who fled.
The Israel Defense Forces stated that operations will continue in order to prevent further attacks and safeguard residents in the region. Earlier the same day, police announced that, following intelligence from the Israel Security Agency, a separate suspect believed to be planning an imminent attack was arrested during an operation at a mosque in the Pardes Snir neighborhood of Lod.
