Two Arab men were killed in separate shootings on Monday in Ramle and Musheirifa, hours after another fatal shooting in Tira, bringing the day’s death toll in the Arab community to three. In Ramle, 21-year-old Marwan Abu Ghanem was critically wounded while riding a motorcycle and later died in hospital. Police detained four suspects and said the shooting was linked to blood vengeance amid an ongoing feud.
Later, a man was fatally shot in Musheirifa near Umm al-Fahm. His identity was not immediately released, and officers launched a search for suspects. Earlier that morning, 30-year-old Majdi Nasser was shot dead in his car in Tira.
According to the Abraham Initiatives, the killings raise the number of Arab homicide victims since the start of 2026 to 70, significantly higher than during the same period last year. The watchdog and community members have criticized National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, accusing authorities of failing to curb organized crime and escalating gun violence that has left many residents fearful and disrupted daily life in Arab towns.
