Two people were killed after an Iranian ballistic missile struck the Tel Aviv suburb of Ramat Gan, emergency services said. The victims, identified by Hebrew media as a couple in their 70s, were reportedly in the staircase of their apartment building at the time of the impact, apparently attempting to reach a bomb shelter.
The ambulance service Magen David Adom said the pair had been seriously wounded in the strike and later died. In a separate incident, a 25-year-old man in Bnei Brak sustained a light shrapnel wound to his hand and was taken to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv for treatment.
