Heavy rainfall swept across multiple regions, with the Dead Sea area recording an unusual 17 millimeters in Sodom, one of the driest locations in the country. Additional rainfall included 15 millimeters in Safed, 9 millimeters in Tiberias, nearly 3 millimeters in Jerusalem, and under 1 millimeter in Tel Aviv, while parts of the Arava and Eilat also saw light showers.
Showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to continue, particularly in northern and eastern areas during the morning, before intensifying and spreading to central and southern regions later in the day. Authorities have warned of potential flooding in the Judean Desert and Dead Sea streams, as strong winds and possible haze in the south accompany the stormy conditions through the night and into the weekend.
