Police dispersed a large crowd gathered outside Jerusalem's Old City during Eid al-Fitr prayers after officials said attendance exceeded authorized limits and approached security perimeters. The gathering, held near Damascus Gate, was initially permitted despite a heightened security situation.

According to police, officers intervened due to concerns about severe overcrowding in an area lacking adequate protected shelter. Authorities said the action followed guidelines from the Israel Defense Forces Home Front Command and was intended to prevent potential خطر in the event of sudden missile sirens or falling debris.

Later the same day, a fragment from an intercepted Iranian missile landed in the Jewish Quarter near the Temple Mount after warning sirens sounded across Jerusalem and parts of the northern West Bank. The Israel Defense Forces reported no injuries, but released footage highlighting what it described as indiscriminate ballistic missile fire. Security forces remain on high alert as wartime safety restrictions continue to be enforced in public areas.
