Israeli forces killed at least four Hezbollah militants during overnight operations in southern Lebanon, according to the military. The clashes occurred during what officials described as a targeted ground operation carried out by troops operating under the 91st Division.
During the operation, soldiers identified several armed militants and killed one in a direct exchange of fire. Air support was then called in to strike additional gunmen who opened fire on the troops, while tank fire was later used to eliminate three more militants. The military said no Israeli soldiers were wounded in the incident.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, as Israeli leaders signaled that military operations involving both Israel and the United States against Iran would intensify in the coming days.
