Katie Price's new husband Lee Andrews is reportedly facing a police investigation in Dubai amid claims he is banned from leaving the country. Allegations made to Herefordshire Police have been passed to authorities in Dubai, where he lives and where the alleged incidents took place. Reports suggest he was previously detained over claims he forged an ex-partner's signature to secure a £200,000 loan, an accusation he denies.
Under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, individuals under criminal investigation or involved in financial disputes can be subject to travel bans. It is unclear what stage the current investigation has reached, but questions have intensified as Andrews is said to have remained in Dubai during recent unrest in the region.
Further allegations have emerged from multiple women who claim Andrews sought money from them under the guise of business opportunities. One United States based businesswoman alleged he sent desperate voice messages requesting sums between £1100 and £2500, claiming financial hardship despite presenting himself as a wealthy entrepreneur. Other former partners have also accused him of attempting to scam women, claims he has previously denied.
