Israel is preparing for a significant drop in temperatures on Wednesday, with conditions falling below seasonal averages. Local showers and thunderstorms are forecast in the northern and central regions, while snow is expected on Mount Hermon.
Rain is predicted to intensify from midday across much of the country and may be accompanied by hail at times. Authorities have warned of a heightened risk of flash flooding, particularly in southern desert waterways including the Negev, the Arava, the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea area.
Temperatures are expected to range between 8 and 12 degrees Celsius in Jerusalem and between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius in Tel Aviv.
