The Jewish Agency's Roaring Lion Fund

The Jewish Agency for Israel has launched the Roaring Lion Fund in response to ongoing Iranian missile attacks that have devastated communities across Israel. Created in partnership with The Jewish Federations of North America, Keren Hayesod, and other donors, the initiative provides immediate financial assistance alongside long term emotional support to help victims rebuild their lives. The fund reflects a global commitment to solidarity and mutual responsibility during a time of national crisis.

At the heart of the initiative are direct emergency grants of 4000 shekels, approximately 1300 dollars, distributed quickly and automatically to bereaved families, injured individuals, and households whose homes were destroyed or made uninhabitable. The fund also supports resilience programs, including counseling, workshops, and group therapy, to address the psychological toll of war. The Jewish Agency activated its emergency operations as soon as the conflict began, expanding support to vulnerable groups such as new immigrants, lone soldiers, and young program participants.

Personal stories underscore the fund’s impact. Families left homeless by missile strikes, teenagers recovering from surgery, elderly visitors injured while seeking shelter, and hundreds forced to evacuate have received swift financial aid and access to emotional care. By combining rapid relief with sustained recovery efforts, the Roaring Lion Fund aims to ensure that no victim faces the aftermath of war alone.
