Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, accompanied his eldest son Yair to the Tel Hashomer induction base as he enlisted for combat service in the Paratroopers Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces. Joined by his wife Oriya and their family, Dagan shared an emotional farewell as they sent their son off to begin his military service.

In a public message, Dagan reflected on the moment, noting that twenty-six years after he first arrived at the induction base as a soldier, he returned as a proud father. He expressed both pride and concern, praising Yair’s decision to serve in a combat role and voicing confidence that he would contribute to the Israel Defense Forces and the State of Israel with strength and humility as part of a long tradition of fighters.
