Dubai Airports Update March 31: IndiGo, Air India continue operations; Qatar Airways, Lufthansa and other airlines also issue advisories

Indian carriers IndiGo and Air India Group will continue operating limited flights between India and Dubai Airports on March 31, maintaining essential connectivity with West Asia. IndiGo has advised passengers to regularly check their flight status and follow all safety and regulatory guidelines, while Air India and Air India Express plan to operate 36 scheduled and non-scheduled services to and from the region.

Several international airlines have also updated their operations. The Dutch flag carrier has suspended flights to and from Dubai until May 17, while Lufthansa and partner airlines including Swiss International Air Lines, the Italian flag carrier and Austrian Airlines have paused services to Dubai until at least May 31 due to reduced airport capacity.

Qatar Airways has resumed a limited schedule and is offering passengers complimentary date changes or refunds for eligible bookings through April 30. Turkish Airlines has suspended flights to the United Arab Emirates until at least the end of March, and British Airways has cancelled services to Dubai and select regional destinations through May 31.

Travellers are advised to head to the airport only with confirmed bookings, stay in direct contact with their airlines, carry proper documentation and allow extra time for security checks as airlines adjust schedules amid ongoing regional tensions.
