Israeli military forces have encircled the town of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon following a series of deadly strikes targeting Hezbollah. The operation began overnight, with troops moving into position around the town and surrounding areas.
According to the Israeli military, dozens of Hezbollah fighters who had taken refuge in Bint Jbeil were caught off guard as troops advanced. Some were killed while attempting to flee the area as forces tightened their perimeter.
Other fighters remain barricaded inside the town. Israeli troops are proceeding cautiously, conducting searches and working methodically to clear what they describe as remaining Hezbollah presence in the area.
