A new community named Ma'oz Tzur was inaugurated in western Binyamin during a festive ceremony attended by senior government officials, members of parliament, and community leaders. The event marked the formal establishment of the community, which already includes roads, water, electricity, and temporary housing, with the first eleven families beginning to move in.

Government leaders described the project as part of a broader effort to strengthen Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, emphasizing its strategic location overlooking Route 443, a key roadway linking Jerusalem to central Israel. Officials highlighted the community's security importance and framed its establishment as a response to regional threats.

Several speakers underscored the ideological and national significance of building new communities, portraying the move as an expression of sovereignty and long term commitment to the land. Local leaders noted that many of the first families are connected to military reserve service and called the initiative a decisive step in reinforcing the area and expanding residential continuity between nearby population centers.
