Cross-border fighting between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified, with renewed rocket fire from southern Lebanon and retaliatory Israeli airstrikes deeper into Lebanese territory. The Israel Defence Forces reported that four rockets were launched toward the northern Israeli city of Karmiel. Two were intercepted by air defence systems, while the others landed in open areas without immediate reports of casualties.
Hezbollah said the ആക്രമation was part of a broader coordinated assault targeting several Israeli positions and settlements along the northern frontier, including Misgav Am, Kfar Giladi, and the Zarit barracks. The group described the strikes as a response within the ongoing confrontation.
In retaliation, Israel carried out airstrikes on multiple locations in southern Lebanon, including Nabatieh al-Fawqa, al-Abbassieh, and Bint Jbeil. Israeli officials said the strikes targeted Hezbollah infrastructure and launch sites, as exchanges of fire along the border continue to escalate.
