The Israeli military said its air force carried out strikes against several Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon who it said had violated ceasefire understandings and posed an immediate threat to Israeli troops.
According to the military, paratrooper forces identified a group of operatives in the Bint Jbeil area inside the Israeli held security zone. The suspects allegedly approached troops in a threatening manner and were subsequently targeted and killed in an airstrike.
In a separate incident near the Litani River, soldiers from the Golani Brigade identified additional Hezbollah operatives operating in what the military described as a forward defensive line area. The military said the individuals approached forces in a way that constituted an immediate danger and were also struck from the air.
Lebanese media reported that the latter strike hit several people at a previously destroyed river crossing in the town of Qaaqaait al-Jisr.
