A Young Paramedic on the Front Lines
At just 20 years old, Sgt. L has already faced years’ worth of battlefield experience while serving as a combat paramedic in the Israel military. After volunteering for one of the most demanding medical roles, she treated wounded soldiers under fire in Gaza during the war against the Palestinian militant group that controls the territory. Her service placed her in life threatening situations where rapid decisions meant the difference between life and death.
Now deployed in southern Lebanon, she continues to operate in volatile conditions marked by mortar attacks and explosive drones. The constant danger is compounded by personal loss, including the death of a childhood friend, deepening her resolve to save others and prevent more families from experiencing grief.
Driven by a belief that she must never settle for mediocrity, Sgt. L carries the heavy responsibility of preserving life amid chaos. Despite her age, she shoulders the emotional and physical burden of frontline medicine, determined to protect her fellow soldiers during one of the most challenging periods in the nation’s recent history.
