London police have identified the suspect in a stabbing attack in Golders Green as a 45-year-old British national born in Somalia. The attack, which left two Jewish men seriously injured, has been formally declared a terrorist incident.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. After being treated in hospital, he was discharged and taken into police custody. Officers are also searching an address in south east London and investigating a related incident earlier the same day that may involve the same individual.

The victims, Shilome Rand, 34, and Moshe Shine, 76, were taken to hospital in serious condition but have since been upgraded to stable. The incident comes amid a rise in antisemitic attacks across Britain following the outbreak of the Gaza war, including recent arson attacks targeting Jewish institutions in London.
