The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed higher on Tuesday, led by strong gains in insurance companies. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose by 0.48 percent, while the Tel Aviv 125 Index climbed 0.91 percent. The BlueTech Global Index also posted a modest increase, and the TelBond 60 corporate bond index edged up as well. Trading turnover reached 4.67 billion shekels in equities and 4.79 billion shekels in bonds.
Insurance stocks were the standout performers of the day. Migdal Insurance and Financial Holdings recorded the largest gain on the Tel Aviv 35 Index, surging 6.55 percent. Other insurers also advanced, including Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services, Menora Mivtachim Holdings, and Phoenix Financial.
On the foreign exchange market, the shekel strengthened against both the United States dollar and the euro, with representative rates falling by 0.608 percent and 0.704 percent respectively.
