Israeli security forces have arrested Shadi Juma'a, a terrorist involved in the 2007 murder of Ido Zoldan, shortly after his release from a 19-year sentence in a Palestinian Authority prison. The operation took place in the city of Kalkilya in Judea and Samaria, with dramatic footage showing undercover personnel tracking and apprehending him.
The arrest was carried out through coordinated surveillance from the air and ground. Forces moved in immediately after receiving the operational signal, catching Juma'a by surprise and preventing any attempt to flee following his release.
Zoldan was shot to death near the village of Funduq by three Palestinian policemen in 2007. Juma'a's two accomplices were previously released from Israeli prison as part of a recent hostage agreement with the Hamas terrorist organization. After his capture, Juma'a was transferred for questioning by the Israel Security Agency, as officials reiterated their commitment to preventing further attacks.
