A large demonstration outside Downing Street brought together political leaders from across the spectrum in solidarity with the Jewish community amid a surge in antisemitic incidents. The rally followed several violent attacks in London, including the stabbing of two Jewish men and multiple arson cases targeting Jewish institutions and property.
Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch addressed the crowd, drawing parallels between extremist violence she witnessed in Nigeria and the October 7 massacre in Israel. She called for moral clarity in confronting hatred and warned against the dangers of rising extremism, emphasizing that fear must not be allowed to prevail.
Badenoch reaffirmed that Britain must always remain a sanctuary for Jewish people, describing antisemitism as an early warning sign of broader threats to society. Meanwhile, counterterrorism authorities continue investigating a series of arson attacks on Jewish community ambulances, synagogues, and other targets, as well as additional incidents involving threats and hate crimes.
