Abergil’s journey to Jerusalem became more than a relocation; it marked a deep personal commitment to building her life in Israel. After initially arriving to explore her connection to the country, she chose to stay permanently, driven by a desire to be part of the Jewish people and contribute to the nation’s future.
She now serves in the National Volunteer Service and lives in the Nefesh B'Nefesh Bnot Sherut Bodedot Residence in Jerusalem with other young women from around the world. Her work at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in the maternity department allows her to support mothers and newborns, an experience she describes as especially meaningful.
For Abergil, helping bring new life into the country reflects her own sense of renewal and belonging, turning Jerusalem from a destination into a true home.
