The Israel Defense Forces are considering a deeper ground push into Lebanon as the threat along the northern border shifts from anti-tank missiles to increasingly frequent drone attacks. Military officials are reassessing strategy as communities near the confrontation line continue to face sustained fire and aerial threats from the Hezbollah organization.
At the same time, the government is preparing to present a rehabilitation plan for the north at a ceremonial meeting next week. While the package includes significant decisions and major investments, much of the impact is expected to materialize only years from now.
Residents in frontline communities say the proposal does not address their immediate security and recovery needs. Many are struggling to adapt to what has become a prolonged wartime routine, marked by ongoing attacks and a lack of lasting security solutions.
