Iranian media reported that the United States has offered no tangible concessions in response to Tehran's proposal to end the war that began with joint United States and Israeli strikes on February 28. According to reports, Washington instead presented five conditions, raising concerns in Tehran that negotiations could reach a deadlock.
Iran's proposal called for a comprehensive end to hostilities, including Israel's military campaign in Lebanon and the lifting of the United States naval blockade on Iranian ports. Tehran also demanded the removal of all United States sanctions and the release of Iranian assets frozen abroad, while insisting it would maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for global oil shipments.
Iranian officials issued strong warnings against renewed military action. Armed forces spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi cautioned President Donald Trump against further attacks, while Deputy Speaker Hamidreza Hajibabaei warned that any strike on Iranian oil infrastructure could disrupt regional oil flows for an extended period.
