Global air travel remains severely disrupted as the conflict involving Iran has forced the closure of major Middle Eastern hubs, including Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi. Airlines around the world have suspended or reduced services to destinations across the region, leaving many passengers unable to travel as planned.
European, Asian, North American and Middle Eastern carriers have canceled flights to cities such as Tel Aviv, Dubai, Riyadh, Beirut, Doha and Amman, with some suspensions lasting through the summer and others extending into October. Several airlines are also avoiding airspace over countries affected by the conflict, further limiting route options.
At the same time, some carriers are adding capacity on routes to Europe and other regions to meet shifting demand. While a few Gulf-based airlines say they continue to operate reduced but ongoing schedules from their home bases, the broader outlook for travel to and through the Middle East remains uncertain as airlines repeatedly adjust their timetables.
