Bahrain's interior ministry announced that it has revoked the citizenship of 69 individuals, including their dependents, for supporting Iran. Authorities said those affected were found to have backed hostile Iranian acts and colluded with foreign entities.

The decision follows weeks of Iranian missile and drone attacks on Gulf states, including Bahrain, which began in late February. The strikes came after the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran, prompting Tehran to accuse Gulf countries of allowing their territory to be used for military operations.

Although a fragile ceasefire between Washington and Tehran was declared on April 8, tensions remain high across the region. Other Gulf states such as Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates have also intensified efforts against what they describe as Iran-linked networks amid fears of further infiltration.
