image sourced from original article at A five-year-old girl was killed and her parents were critically injured in a hit-and-run incident in Jamnagar on Sunday night. The family was travelling on a motorcycle near Kalawad Gate when a luxury car coming from the opposite direction struck them and fled the scene.
The child, Abira Sama, suffered severe head injuries and was declared dead at a hospital. Her father, Israel, sustained multiple serious injuries including broken legs, a fractured rib, and injuries to his lungs and abdomen. Her mother, Rukhsad, suffered a fractured leg and a head injury. Both parents remain under treatment.
A complaint was filed by the child’s uncle, who witnessed the aftermath and helped rush her to the hospital. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act and are searching for the unidentified driver.
