Samsung is reportedly nearing the launch of its new smart glasses, with leaked official-looking images revealing a slim and elegant design that closely resembles standard eyeglasses. The frames feature slightly thicker arms to house internal components, along with front-facing camera lenses that suggest a strong focus on visual capture and real-time environmental analysis.
Unlike earlier expectations of a bulky augmented reality headset, this version is said to offer a screen-free experience similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses. The device is expected to run on Google’s extended reality platform with deep integration of the Gemini assistant. Leaked specifications point to a 12-megapixel camera, a Snapdragon AR1 processor, bone conduction speakers, and a price range of 380 to 500 dollars.
Samsung is also reportedly developing a more advanced model under the code name Haean, planned for release in 2027. This version is expected to include a micro light-emitting diode display capable of projecting information and navigation onto the lenses, with a potential price of up to 900 dollars. The strategy suggests Samsung will enter the market with a simpler product before moving to more complex display technology.
The timing of the leak, which includes polished marketing-style images, hints that Samsung may tease the glasses at its upcoming July Unpacked event. While the event is expected to focus on other flagship devices, the company could offer an early preview, though pricing and launch timelines may still change depending on production costs and global economic conditions.
