US military denies any of its Navy ships were hit by Iranian missiles in Strait of Hormuz

The United States military has denied reports that any of its Navy ships were struck by Iranian missiles in the Strait of Hormuz. United States Central Command stated that no naval vessels were hit while operating in the area.

According to the statement, American forces are continuing to support Project Freedom and enforce a naval blockade on Iranian ports. The command did not clarify whether any ships were fired upon but avoided damage.

The denial came after Iran's Fars news agency claimed that two missiles struck a United States Navy vessel attempting to transit the strategic waterway.
