Mohammad Yahya will headline the 'Pride of Arabia' card at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on May 24, marking a deeply personal homecoming for the Emirati featherweight. Originally scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia, the event was moved to Dubai, giving Yahya the opportunity to compete just minutes from his home in one of the region's premier indoor venues.
Yahya faces Tunisia's Mehdi Saadi in a featherweight quarterfinal as part of the Professional Fighters League Middle East tournament, with a chance to advance in the eight-man bracket and pursue a regional title. The card also features reigning lightweight champion Salah Eddine Hamli and rising Emirati prospect Zamzam Al-Hammadi, highlighting the growing prominence of the sport in Dubai.
A pioneer of mixed martial arts in the United Arab Emirates, Yahya turned professional in 2014 and became the first Emirati to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Despite entering the tournament on a three-fight losing streak, the 31-year-old remains confident that fighting at home will help him reset his momentum as he continues to inspire the next generation of fighters through his training and mentorship work in Dubai.
