Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the fifth meeting of a ministerial group in New Delhi to assess risks to energy supply chains and the availability of essential commodities amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia. The review focused on preventing disruptions and ensuring that domestic supplies remain stable during the period of global uncertainty.
Singh urged citizens to stay calm and avoid panic, assuring that the government is taking concrete steps to prevent shortages. He also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for collective public participation and energy conservation, describing it as an important step toward strengthening self-reliance and safeguarding the nation’s energy security during challenging global conditions.
