Dror Bin, the chief executive officer of the Israel Innovation Authority, has announced that he will step down after five years leading the government body responsible for supporting the country’s technology sector and shaping innovation policy. He will remain in the position for the coming months until a successor is appointed.
Bin said he guided the authority through a significant and challenging period marked by the coronavirus pandemic, a global slowdown in the technology sector, and three years of war. Despite these pressures, he said Israel’s high tech industry has shown resilience and adaptability.
He expressed pride in laying critical foundations to strengthen the economy, particularly in artificial intelligence, deep technology, and the broader innovation ecosystem, adding that the sector is well positioned to face future challenges and opportunities.
