Israel Security Agency has joined the investigation into the deaths of a man and woman in their 40s who were found shot inside a car in a field near the central community of Mishmar Ayalon.
Initial police assessments reportedly suggested the possibility of a murder-suicide, but authorities are no longer confident in that conclusion. A court-imposed gag order prevents the publication of the victims' identities.
The couple, who were parents to a 17-year-old child, were discovered on Sunday. Relatives have reportedly told investigators that the theory of murder-suicide does not align with the family’s history, adding further uncertainty to the circumstances surrounding the case.
