The United States Navy has released photos of what it described as 'fresh meals' being served aboard the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln and the amphibious assault ship Tripoli, disputing reports that sailors were facing food shortages while deployed to the Middle East. The images show full plates of food and stocked storage areas as the ships take part in Operation Epic Fury amid tensions with Iran.

Claims circulating online alleged that service members were receiving meager portions, but senior defense officials rejected those assertions. The Secretary of War criticized the reports as 'fake news,' while the Chief of Naval Operations said both vessels have sufficient supplies to provide healthy, fully portioned meals to their crews.

Military leaders emphasized that the health and wellbeing of sailors and marines remains a top priority. Officials added that each ship has more than 30 days of food supplies on board and that logistics are monitored daily to ensure uninterrupted service during the ongoing deployment near the Strait of Hormuz.
