Iran's chief negotiator has cast doubt on the prospects for a second round of talks with the United States, sharply criticizing President Donald Trump over what he described as an American naval blockade of Iran.
In a post on the social media platform X, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused Washington of attempting to use negotiations to force Iran's 'surrender or to justify renewed warmongering.' He said Tehran would not engage in discussions conducted 'under the shadow of threats.'
Ghalibaf also warned that Iran has been preparing to 'reveal new cards on the battlefield,' signaling a potentially tougher stance as tensions between the two countries continue to rise.
