A 21-year-old pizzeria worker, Yamano Zalka, has died two days after being brutally stabbed in Petach Tikva. The attack occurred on the eve of Independence Day after Zalka asked a group of youths to stop spraying snow spray inside the restaurant where he worked. According to police findings, the group waited for him outside until he finished his shift, then stabbed him and fled the scene.
Doctors at Beilinson Hospital fought for his life but were ultimately forced to pronounce him dead. Police have launched an investigation into the killing, though no arrests have yet been made.
Mayor Rami Greenberg expressed deep shock over the killing, describing it as an unthinkable act of violence that escalated from a simple request. He called on young people to avoid violence and urged parents to be more involved in their children's lives, stressing that a single moment of anger can destroy many lives.
