Rocket sirens sounded Saturday afternoon in the Galilee Panhandle communities of Manara, Margaliot, and Misgav Am following launches from Lebanon. One rocket exploded in an open area while another was intercepted. No injuries were reported.
The Israel Defense Forces said the attack constituted a blatant violation of the ceasefire understandings by Hezbollah. About an hour later, additional alerts warned of a hostile aircraft infiltration in the western Galilee. The military later confirmed that two aerial targets had entered Israeli territory, with one intercepted and contact lost with the second. No injuries were reported in that incident.
Shortly before the rocket fire, the Israel Defense Forces also intercepted a suspicious aerial target in southern Lebanon near an area where Israeli troops are operating. That target did not cross into Israeli territory, and no sirens were activated in accordance with protocol.
