Police have arrested a ninth suspect, a minor from Petah Tikva, in connection with the brutal murder of 21-year-old Yamano Binyamin Zalka, a local pizzeria employee. The arrest was announced Monday as the investigation continues to expand under the Central District led by the Sharon Precinct Crime Fighting Unit.

Of the nine suspects taken into custody so far, two have been released to house arrest for 12 days, while six others remain in detention after their custody was extended by the court. The newly arrested suspect is expected to appear in court, where authorities may request an extension of his detention depending on developments in the case.

Police said they are continuing efforts to locate additional suspects and are using all available means to uncover the full truth and ensure justice. Meanwhile, Zalka’s family expressed deep grief, describing him as a beloved son and brother who was kind, helpful, and active in his community before his life was cut short in what they called a shocking and cruel manner.
