Blue and White Party leader Benny Gantz sharply criticized the newly formed Together Party, an alliance between former prime ministers Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, warning that it could weaken efforts to replace the current government in the upcoming elections. Gantz argued that the partnership prioritizes internal leadership struggles over building a broad national coalition capable of unseating Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Gantz said the alliance harms the chances of forming what he described as a wide Zionist government and accused Bennett and Lapid of focusing on personal ambitions instead of appealing to right-wing and religious voters seeking a new political home. He maintained that only Blue and White can prevent the formation of either an extremist government or a narrow minority coalition dependent on Arab parties.
Despite his criticism, Gantz's party has struggled in recent polls and has failed to clear the electoral threshold. He has also faced political isolation after being excluded from opposition coordination efforts and following the departure of several senior members, including former ally Gadi Eisenkot. Meanwhile, Bennett and Lapid have sought to strengthen their bloc, calling on other opposition figures to join forces in an effort to secure a majority and replace Netanyahu.
