B'nai Brith Canada's League for Human Rights reported 6,800 antisemitic incidents in 2025, a 9.3 percent increase from 2024 and a 145.6 percent rise since 2022. The findings describe a sustained national crisis, with an average of 18.6 incidents per day targeting Jewish Canadians. Antisemitic incidents have increased in six of the past seven years.
Harassment accounted for the vast majority of cases at 6,491 incidents, while 299 involved vandalism and 10 involved violence. Online activity represented 92 percent of all reported incidents, marking a continued shift toward digital platforms. The report states that antisemitism has become increasingly prevalent in schools, universities, workplaces, and online spaces.
Ontario recorded the highest number of incidents, followed by British Columbia, the Prairies, Alberta, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. Monthly totals rose toward the end of the year, with the highest numbers in November and December. The audit concludes that the upward trend highlights the need for continued monitoring and response to antisemitism across Canada.
