Former prime minister Naftali Bennett urged the political leadership to remove operational restrictions on Israel Defense Forces troops fighting in southern Lebanon, arguing that such limits are endangering soldiers and undermining the war effort. He said troops are being forced to shift from pursuing enemies to defending themselves because they are barred from striking certain targets.

Bennett claimed that Hezbollah operatives are exploiting areas the military has been instructed not to attack, using them to launch assaults and explosive drones. He insisted that national leaders must prioritize the safety of soldiers and civilians over international pressure, concluding with a call to 'let the Israel Defense Forces win.'

During a visit to forces in southern Lebanon, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir praised the current generation of troops as the greatest since the 1947 to 1949 War of Independence. He said the military had met and exceeded objectives set by the political leadership in campaigns against Iran and in Lebanon, including efforts to halt attacks on northern communities, and pledged that operations would continue until security is fully restored.
