Trump-backed Board of Peace, Israel 'will take action' if Hamas remains out of compliance: Netanyahu advisor

Michael Eisenberg, a senior advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said Israel and the United States-backed Board of Peace are prepared to 'take action' if Hamas does not comply with the terms of a 20-point peace agreement. He stated that Hamas has failed to surrender its weapons and demilitarize Gaza as required, leaving all options open if the group remains noncompliant.

Eisenberg credited President Donald Trump and his team for carefully structuring the peace framework, describing both an 'easy way' involving voluntary disarmament and a 'hard way' if Hamas refuses. He emphasized that under the agreement, Hamas cannot govern Gaza, bear arms, or maintain its current role, and suggested the group must fundamentally change to remain involved.

The remarks come as Israel engages in broader regional negotiations, including discussions involving Lebanon and Iran. Netanyahu reaffirmed close coordination with the United States, particularly on efforts to eliminate Iran's enriched nuclear material and dismantle its enrichment capabilities, while Israeli officials maintain firm opposition to Iran's missile and nuclear programs.
