Steadicopter has introduced a new 'mothership' configuration for its Golden Eagle unmanned helicopter, designed to carry and deploy smaller aerial systems during complex missions in contested environments. The all‑electric rotary platform is built to conduct sustained stand‑off intelligence gathering while remaining outside hostile air defense coverage.

Under the concept, the Golden Eagle can launch compact intelligence drones and precision‑guided munitions, allowing close‑range surveillance and strike capabilities without exposing the primary aircraft. Its ability to hover, fly at very low altitudes, and operate as a communications relay enables flexible deployment behind terrain features, urban structures, or maritime obstacles.

The system is intended for missions such as cross‑border intelligence gathering, maritime security, special forces overwatch, and operations in heavily defended areas. It can launch from naval vessels or remote land bases, travel long distances, and release low‑signature drones that provide high‑resolution electro‑optical and infrared imagery directly over targets.

Steadicopter says the architecture supports broader multi‑domain intelligence networks and interoperability across aerial and data layers. The company has also partnered with ParaZero to integrate a precision airdrop capability into its Black Eagle platform, enabling autonomous resupply for tactical and humanitarian missions in remote or contested areas.
