British police have launched an urgent search for a man filmed allegedly shouting threats to 'behead Jews one by one' on a street in east London. The video, recorded near a mosque on Whitechapel Road in Tower Hamlets, shows a group chanting pro Palestine and anti Israel slogans before the man directs violent antisemitic remarks toward Jewish people.

Officers responded after the footage was reported online and are working to identify the suspect. A police spokesperson said hate crime has no place in the community and that the incident is being treated with seriousness as investigations continue.

The Shomrim community security group described the footage as horrific and said the Orthodox Jewish community is deeply alarmed. The incident comes amid heightened concerns about rising antisemitism across the United Kingdom, with additional officers recently deployed to help protect Jewish neighbourhoods and sites in London.
