Israel reportedly built two secret military bases in Iraq's western desert during the ongoing war with Iran, according to reports citing unnamed Iraqi officials. The second base was allegedly discovered on March 3 by a Bedouin shepherd, while details about the first base emerged earlier through separate reporting.

The first installation was described as a remote facility used to support an airstrike campaign against Iran. It reportedly housed air force special forces personnel and functioned as a logistics hub, with troops stationed there in case pilots were downed over hostile territory.

The second base is said to have predated the current conflict involving Israel, Iran, and the United States. Preparations for its construction reportedly began in 2024, and it was used in June 2025 during an operation referred to as Operation Rising Lion. The situation remains a developing story.
