Attorney Harel Arnon, who represents Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a petition concerning the appointment of Roman Gofman as head of the national intelligence agency, criticized the Attorney General over documents submitted to the court.
Arnon argued that the Attorney General is acting improperly and violating procedural rules by attempting to prevent Netanyahu from reviewing an affidavit. He claimed this was being done under the guise of confidentiality, despite Netanyahu’s authority to access such documents.
The dispute centers on whether the Prime Minister should be permitted to examine the materials related to the contested appointment, as legal proceedings over the matter continue.
