Maayan Gordon, an American Jewish content creator with more than two million followers, recently moved to Jerusalem with her husband and their young daughter. After sharing her immigration journey online, she addressed a common fear among newcomers: the worry that making friends in a new country will be difficult.
Gordon says that in Israel, community is often woven into daily life. She points to public parks, family events, coworking spaces, synagogues and neighborhood messaging groups as natural places where relationships form. Through these everyday interactions, she believes new immigrants can quickly find a sense of belonging and support.
