At least two people were killed and around ten others injured in a late night crash involving a truck and a minibus on Highway 7 near the Sorek Interchange, east of Ashdod. Emergency services received reports of the collision shortly after midnight and dispatched multiple rescue teams to the scene.
The fatalities were identified by Magen David Adom as a 15-year-old boy and a 20-year-old woman. Several of the injured were transported to Samson Assuta Ashdod University Hospital and Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot for further treatment.
Among the injured, a 16-year-old girl and a 20-year-old woman were reported unconscious with serious injuries, along with a 17-year-old boy who remained conscious but in serious condition. Two others sustained light injuries. Police and emergency personnel continued investigating the circumstances of the crash, while the identities of the deceased had not yet been officially released by Israel Police.
