A 25 year old Jerusalem resident, Israel Grossman, has been indicted by the State Prosecutor's Office on multiple charges including aggravated intentional sabotage as an act of terror, arson, property damage, threats, rioting, reckless driving, and obstructing a police officer. Prosecutors have asked the Jerusalem District Court to keep him in detention until the end of legal proceedings.
According to the indictment, Grossman took part in three violent incidents between February and May in the village of Jalud in the Nablus district. In one attack, he and masked accomplices allegedly vandalized property, smashed windows, and set a vehicle on fire while armed with sticks and an axe.
In another incident, he is accused of severely assaulting a guard at a poultry complex, striking him until he collapsed and setting fire to a truck carrying cages of live chickens. The guard suffered serious head injuries and was hospitalized in critical condition. In a separate event, Grossman allegedly fled police on a small all terrain vehicle, striking security personnel while attempting to escape. Authorities are also seeking to confiscate the vehicle used in the offenses.
