United States President Donald Trump canceled plans to attend his son Don Jr.'s wedding and other scheduled travel, returning instead to the White House due to what he described as government circumstances during a historic moment. Speaking in New York, Trump said he wanted to be with his family but felt it was vital to remain in Washington as negotiations related to Iran continue.

During his remarks, Trump said the conflict with Iran would be over soon and predicted that oil prices would decline, though he did not provide details about the status of the talks. His schedule has been cleared until further notice as discussions continue.

Meanwhile, Iran signaled that negotiations would fail if the United States insists on addressing Tehran's stockpile of enriched uranium. A spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry told the Islamic Republic News Agency that the current focus is on ending the war and that raising nuclear issues at this stage would prevent an agreement.

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio said there has been some progress in the talks, which are being mediated by Pakistan, but cautioned that significant work remains before any deal can be finalized.
