IDF strikes Hezbollah infrastructure targets as Home Front Command tightens northern guidelines

The Israeli military said it struck more than 70 Hezbollah infrastructure targets across Lebanon, including in the Bekaa Valley and the city of Tyre, using approximately 85 munitions. In Tyre, about 10 command centers, weapons storage facilities, and other sites used in attacks against Israel were targeted.

The escalation follows increased drone attacks by Hezbollah on Israeli troops and directives from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to intensify operations. The air force also targeted and killed Hezbollah operatives traveling on motorcycles in areas of southern Lebanon where Israeli ground forces were active.

Amid the heightened tensions, the Home Front Command tightened defensive guidelines for communities near the Lebanese border. Limits on public gatherings were reduced to 50 people outdoors and 200 indoors, while educational activities remain unchanged.

The updated restrictions will be in effect from Tuesday morning through the evening, with several northern communities remaining under partial activity levels. Authorities said they will continue to assess the situation and provide updates as needed.
